18th Year's Annual Dance Program
18th Year's Annual Dance Program of Rahara Nrityangan is going to be held on 1 June 2025, Sunday, 5:30 pm at Khardah Rabindra Bhawan. All are requested to be present and enjoy the Program and also encouraged the students and us.

Guru Pandit Govindan Kutty

He was born in 1927 at Palghat, Kerala.
He did Graduation and Post-Graduation in Kathakali.
Married Smt. Thankamani an exponent of Bharat Natyam and Mohiniattam in the year 1958.
Established Kalamandalam Calcutta with the help of her wife in the year 1968.
He has visited various countries with his traditional Kathakali Troupe.
Became a court member of Rabindra Bharati University Court.
We pay our full devotion to him for his God like behavior and appearance.

Guru Smt. Thankamani Kutty

She was born in 1940 in Kerala.
At the age of 12 she admitted to Kerala Kalamandalam. Received Gold Medal for performing Bharat Natyam from the Maharane of Tranvancore.
Married to Kathakali exponent Kalamandalam Govindan Kutty and came to Calcutta in the year 1958.
She is Guru of Bharat Natyam and Mohiniattam. Our Pranam to her.
